Today marks the end of an era for Big Tree EMS as our dedicated paid EMS employees complete their final shift.![]()

On behalf of the officers, members, and the community we serve, we extend our deepest gratitude to each of you for your professionalism, compassion, and unwavering commitment to our residents. Day and night, through countless emergencies, you answered the call with skill, dedication, and a genuine desire to help others.![]()

While this chapter comes to a close, the impact you have made on our department and our community will not be forgotten. You have cared for thousands of patients, supported our volunteer members, and helped make Big Tree EMS the respected service it has been.![]()

As we move forward, our volunteer members at Big Tree Volunteer Fire Company will continue to answer EMS calls and remain committed to serving our community to the very best of our ability. However, residents should understand that, as an all-volunteer service, we may not always be able to provide the same level of staffing, availability, or response that our community has experienced with a dedicated paid EMS crew. Our volunteers balance their service with full-time jobs, family commitments, and other responsibilities, yet they remain committed to answering the call whenever they are able.![]()

🚒💦 Today, Big Tree Volunteer Fire Company had a great time visiting the children at JFK Playground for their annual Fire Truck Day!![]()

The kids had the opportunity to explore the fire truck, meet our firefighters, and cool off by getting sprayed with water. Judging by all the smiles, splashing, and puddle jumping, everyone had an amazing time!![]()
