Garage Fire Response on Kent Avenue![]()

Last night, Big Tree Volunteer Fire Company responded to a reported detached garage fire on Kent Avenue.![]()

Newton Abbott 6 arrived first on scene and found a fire that had originated on the exterior of the garage and extended into the roof area. Firefighters quickly stretched one 1¾-inch handline and aggressively attacked the fire, bringing it under control before it could spread further.![]()

Responding agencies included Big Tree Volunteer Fire Company, Newton Abbott Volunteer Fire Company, Scranton Volunteer Fire Company, Woodlawn Volunteer Fire Company, and the FAST Team from Orchard Park.![]()

We appreciate the teamwork and professionalism of all responding agencies, whose coordinated efforts resulted in a successful operation. We also thank our community for their continued support of the volunteer firefighters who serve and protect our neighbors every day.
